Home Equity Line of Credit

 
 

This line of credit, which secures your residential property, is a great way to pay for the things that you want, not to mention those unexpected expenses.  Take advances from the line up to your approved credit limit.  Pay finance charges only on the outstanding balance.  The interest rate is variable and adjusts once a year, every July 1st. 

CURRENT PROMOTION:  If you take a draw of at least $10,000 within 2 weeks of closing and keep the line of credit open for at least one year, the credit union will pay for all normal closing costs1!

Interest rate will adjust annually on July 1st as per the terms of the Loanliner Credit Agreement.  On July 1, 2013, interest rate will adjust to the fully indexed rate.

Minimum draw amount is $100 to avoid a transaction fee.

You must be a Kahului FCU member to apply for a home equity line of credit.  When you become a member, there is a one-time, nonrefundable $1.00 membership fee.

1 The credit union waives closing costs for certain third party fees (e.g. real estate evaluation, recordation, documentation, ordinary title search, credit report, flood determination, notary fee), estimated at $600 to $2,000.  The borrower is required to reimburse the credit union if the credit line account is paid off and closed within one (1) year of its opening.  If applicable, you will be required to pay closing costs involving other legal documentation, appraisal cost or extraordinary title search estimated at $250 to $2,000.  Promotion is subject to change without notice.

Applies to Owner-Occupant properties. Discounted APR is not based on an index and will not change until June 30, 2013. Normal rate would be 5.00% APR.  The maximum variable indexed rate will not exceed 15% APR.  Based on a $25,000.01 loan at a repayment term of 15 years and rounded up to the next whole dollar, the monthly payment (principal & interest) would be $189.00. Property insurance (homeowner's, hurricane and flood) may be required.

3 Applies to improved investment properties. Based on a $25,000 loan at a repayment term of 12 years and rounded up to the next whole dollar, the monthly payment (principal & interest) would be $258.00. The maximum variable indexed rate will not exceed 15% APR.  Property insurance (homeowner's, hurricane and flood) may be required.
